Drishtee drishtee

Drishtee is a social enterprise focused exclusively on rural India. But while that puts us in a decidedly exclusive category, it doesn’t begin to tell the complete story of who Drishtee is and what makes us special. That’s because Drishtee is as much about character as capabilities. The philosophy that inspired our creation and continues to inform our every move is what enables us to develop truly innovative solutions.Like most great ideas, Drishtee was born from the passionate belief in professional solutions. The founders understood all too well the shortcomings of existing solutions to reach the people at the base of the pyramid and the difficulties and frustrations they inspired. Rather than to accept these challenges, they developed a better way to reach the people at the helm of exclusion.

American Indian Foundation     american-indian-foundation

American Indian Foundation (AIF) www.aifoundation.org, is another organization we are partnering with on Technical Education at RK Girls College. AIF’s mission is to provide under privileged children in India, the opportunity to enhance their learning by using Digital Technology. Considering the common objectives and overlap in AIF Digital Equalizer (DE) and REaD Technology Education programs, we have decided to implement both the programs under REaD Technology Education Center. AIF and REaD jointly planned, implemented and managed the DE program in five rural schools during 2004-2006. REaD is continuing the program as a part of Technical Education Center at RK Girls College.

AIF is a secular and non-partisan organization that adheres to the highest standards of professionalism and transparency on all operational and financial matters. The Foundation’s offices are based in New York, California and India. AIF is a tax-exempt organization under the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, Section 501 (c) (3).
