Dr. Sunder S. Thakur (Sheel) Managing Trustee, REaD Foundation Born in Tewaripur, UP, Sheel was educated in Bombay. He left for higher studies at Columbia University, New York, after completing his Mechanical Engineering. On receiving Doc. Eng. Sc. (Operations Research) from Columbia, he joined IBM as a management scientist and worked in different Corporate and HQ strategic & operational planning functions for many years. In between, he taught computer courses at the City University of New York for two years, as an IBM Visiting Professor.
Sheel was a key member of the IBM management team, which started IBM Global Services in Bangalore. While here on assignment for six years, he established the Bangalore Chapter of Project Management Institute in 1998 to train and certify project managers. He has started his own consulting firm, and plans to spend time between India and USA.

]Krishna K. Bess, Trustee – Finance General Manager, State Bank of India, Indore Born in 1958 at Jabalpur, Krishna joined the State Bank of India in 1982 after completing his Masters Degree in Electronics for Jabalpur University. He earned additional diplomas in Banking and Information Technology. His experience of more than 20 years in various capacities like development of human resources, leading the change from manual banking system to fully computerized environment and managing the implementation of technological advancements have been the highlights of his tenure at the State Bank of India.
Krishna has been associated with the Committee for Technical Up gradation of the State Bank in Madhya Pradesh and has led his team in successful implementation of various key tasks viz. networking, computerization of branches, installation of ATM’s, Financial Messaging Systems and various other similar areas. He is an individual with excellent coordinating skills and leadership capabilities. Krishna has actively participated in REaD meetings with Asha representatives and RK College administrators in Kanpur during 2002-9 and visited Tewaripur in November to participate in North India Team meetings to start a Community Center in Timul Kendra Tiwaripur.

Dr. Manish Saxena Born in Kanpur, UP in 1977, working as an Associate Professor and staying at Lucknow, India.
He is M.Tech. Ph.D. in CSE and have also done Masters in Astrology & Vastu Sciences, Ph.D. in (Astrology). He is also a trained Aromatherapist and received two International Awards for development of Nano Medicines based on Aromatherapy. He is conducting various Medical Camps and promoting Alternative Medicines using Aromatherapy, Yoga and Naturopathy. He is also using Quantum Technology for cost-effective medical diagnosis and setting up medical diagnosis centers in rural areas. He is presently working with various NGO’s to establish Skill Development Centers for with support of UPSDM/PMKVY. He is also looking after Projects of Sanitation and Health Awareness with various NGO’s.
Vijay Kumar Born in Bettiah, Bihar in 1983, working as a Software Engineer and staying with my family in Bellevue, WA, USA.
Education and Skill Development in rural areas: I feel that rural areas are still not part of main stream and because of that our development is slow at the same time their standard of living is very poor. By providing education and skill development we can ensure their significant contribution and it will eventually help the community to raise their standard of living.
Clean Environment: We take so much from this wonderful environment however we do not give back anything now this is getting serious and I believe this is the time to act otherwise our kids might have to buy and carry Oxygen cylinders along with their bag packs.
Technology to transform Life: I believe technology has unlimited capability to go deeper into any area and can help complete transformation. Here we can use technology to educate and share the information in the fastest possible way.
